I had heard that taking extra fiber often does. Sense taking the Metamucil capsules, I seem to be almost back to normal but I can't really say if it is the result of taking the Metamucil or not. My only complaint is that you have to remember to drink lots of water or possibly suffer the consequences. Sometimes, I forget. The problem is that drinking husk it is not as convenient as taking it in pill form. Plus you don't gag with the pills.
